How we work together
Clear, simple terms so you always know what to expect. Please review these before your website goes live.
Quotations
Every quotation is prepared around the pages and features you have asked for. It stays valid for thirty days unless we agree otherwise.
Website build fee
The agreed website build fee covers planning, designing, building, configuring and launching your website. The payment options available for your project — paying in full, a Project Booking Fee followed by a final balance, or staged payments — are set out in your individual proposal, and the MyWebTone Website Project Terms apply alongside it. Where staged payments are used, any final balance is normally due before your website goes live.
Third-party costs
MyWebTone is a website design, build and management service rather than a traditional hosting company. Your website may use third-party services such as a domain registrar, a website or cloud platform, payment processing, email, booking systems, analytics or other integrations. Those costs stay separate from your website build fee unless I have clearly said they are included, and each service remains subject to its own terms, availability and charges.
Your content
You confirm that any wording, images or logos you provide are yours to use. I will always ask before using anything else.
Reviews and changes
You will have the chance to review your website and request sensible changes. Larger additions may be quoted separately.
Ownership
Once the agreed project balance has been paid in full, the completed website created for you is yours, subject to the terms of any third-party platforms and services it relies on. Your own words, photographs, logos and other materials always remain yours.
Your domain
Your domain should be registered in your own name or account wherever practical, and it stays yours. If you need a new one, I will guide you through buying it. I simply connect your website to your domain; I do not take ownership of it, although I may need access or DNS details to make the connection.
Ongoing website management
Many clients choose to have me continue looking after their website after launch, so they never need to learn the software or the technical side. Any continued management, maintenance, updates or support beyond the included project period is arranged separately and quoted according to the work involved. Any applicable management costs will be clearly agreed with you in advance.
Website handover
You are never locked in. If your website has been paid for in full and you later decide you would rather manage it yourself or move to another provider, an appropriate handover can be arranged. The method depends on the technology and third-party services your website uses at that time, and may involve project access or files, domain and DNS assistance, or moving to infrastructure you control. Not every third-party service, account or integration can automatically be transferred. After handover you become responsible for your own platform and hosting subscriptions, third-party services, technical management and future changes unless we agree otherwise. Any applicable handover costs will be clearly agreed with you in advance.
