Payment & Refund Policy

Payment & Refund Policy

I believe in being completely transparent about payments before we begin working together. This page explains how payments are made, when they are due and how cancellations or refunds are handled. My aim is simply to make sure there are no surprises for either of us.

Securing Your Project

To reserve your place in my schedule, a non-refundable Project Booking Fee of 75% is required before any work begins.

Your project officially starts once this payment has been received.

The Project Booking Fee allows me to begin planning, designing and building your website immediately.

Because work begins as soon as your project is booked, this fee is non-refundable.

Final Payment

The remaining balance of 25% is payable before your website is published or transferred to your chosen domain.

Once full payment has been received, I'll publish your completed website or transfer it as agreed.

Why The Booking Fee Is Non-Refundable

Every website I create is designed specifically for each individual client.

From the moment work begins, time is invested in planning, design, development, communication and testing.

Unlike physical products, that time cannot be recovered or reused on another project.

For this reason, the Project Booking Fee is non-refundable once work has started.

Cancellation By The Client

If you decide to cancel your project after work has begun, the Project Booking Fee will not be refunded.

If significant additional work has already been completed beyond the value of the Project Booking Fee, an invoice may be issued for the outstanding work completed up to the cancellation date.

Any work created remains the intellectual property of MyWebTone unless full payment has been received.

Cancellation By MyWebTone

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel your project before any meaningful work has begun, any payments received will be refunded in full.

If work has already commenced, any refund will be calculated fairly based upon the amount of work completed.

Website Ownership

Your completed website remains the property of MyWebTone until the final balance has been paid.

Once full payment has been received, ownership of your completed website transfers to you.

Price Changes

The agreed project price will never change unless you request additional work beyond the original project scope.

If additional functionality or pages are requested during the project, I'll always discuss the cost with you before carrying out the work.

No additional work will ever be completed without your approval.

Additional Work

Sometimes great ideas appear once a website starts taking shape.

If you'd like additional pages, features or functionality that fall outside the original quotation, I'll happily provide a separate quotation before beginning that work.

You're never under any obligation to proceed.

Publishing Your Website

Your website will only be published once:

  • The project has been approved
  • The remaining balance has been paid
  • Any agreed domain details have been confirmed

How Payments Are Made

I aim to keep the payment process simple, secure and straightforward.

Website Project Booking

Once you've accepted your quotation, I'll send you a secure Stripe payment link for your non-refundable Project Booking Fee of 75%.

This payment reserves your place in my schedule and allows me to begin planning, designing and building your website.

All online card payments are processed securely through Stripe. MyWebTone never stores or has access to your payment card details.

Final Payment

Once your website has been completed, approved and is ready to go live, I'll send you the final invoice for the remaining 25%.

The remaining balance is payable by bank transfer before your website is published or transferred to your chosen domain.

As soon as the final payment has been received, I'll launch your website and complete the project.

If additional payment methods are introduced in the future, this page will be updated accordingly.

My Commitment

I believe good business relationships are built on trust, honesty and clear communication.

I'll always explain costs clearly before work begins and I'll never add unexpected charges without discussing them with you first.

My goal is to make the payment process as straightforward and transparent as the website creation process itself.

Questions About Payments?

If you're unsure about anything on this page, please don't hesitate to ask. I'd much rather answer your questions before we begin than have you worrying later.
