Payment & Refund Policy

The payment options available for your project are set out in your individual proposal. Depending upon the project these may include paying in full, a Project Booking Fee followed by a final balance, or staged payments.

Before your first project payment you'll be asked to read and actively accept the MyWebTone Website Project Terms.

Your project officially starts once your first agreed payment has been received.

That payment reserves your place in my schedule and allows me to begin planning, designing and building your website.

Where your proposal uses staged payments or a Project Booking Fee, any remaining balance is payable before your website is published or transferred to your chosen domain.

Once all amounts due have been received, I'll publish your completed website or transfer it as agreed.

Every website I create is designed specifically for each individual client.

From the moment work begins, time is invested in planning, design, development, communication and testing.

Unlike physical products, that time cannot be recovered or reused on another project.

For this reason, if a project is cancelled after work has begun, the financial position will take account of work already completed, time already spent and any third-party costs already incurred.

Nothing here removes or restricts any statutory cancellation or refund rights available under applicable UK law.

If you decide to cancel your project after work has begun, please let me know in writing as soon as possible.

Any amount due back to you will be calculated fairly, taking account of work already completed, time already spent, third-party costs already incurred and commitments made specifically for your project.

If the value of work completed exceeds the payments already made, an invoice may be issued for the outstanding work completed up to the cancellation date.

Any work created remains the intellectual property of MyWebTone unless all amounts due have been received.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel your project before any meaningful work has begun, any payments received will be refunded in full.

If work has already commenced, any refund will be calculated fairly based upon the amount of work completed.

Your completed website remains the property of MyWebTone until all amounts due for the project have been paid.

Once the agreed project balance has been paid in full, the completed website created for you is yours, subject to the terms of any third-party platforms and services it relies on.

Your own words, photographs, logos and other supplied materials always remain yours, and your domain stays registered in your own name.

If you later decide you'd prefer to manage your website yourself or move to another provider, an appropriate handover can be arranged. Any applicable handover costs will be clearly agreed with you in advance.

The agreed project price will never change unless you request additional work beyond the original project scope, or a third-party service changes its own pricing.

If additional functionality or pages are requested during the project, I'll always discuss the cost with you before carrying out the work.

No additional work will ever be completed without your approval.

Sometimes great ideas appear once a website starts taking shape.

If you'd like additional pages, features or functionality that fall outside the original quotation, I'll happily provide a separate quotation before beginning that work.

You're never under any obligation to proceed.
