It's how people find your website online.
If you don't already own a domain name, don't worry. I'll happily help you choose one and guide you through purchasing it.
I believe every client should own their own domain name.
That means your website address always belongs to you.
I'll happily guide you through purchasing your domain from a trusted provider.
If you'd prefer me to purchase the domain on your behalf, this can usually be arranged as a separate service.
Hosting is simply the place where your website lives on the internet.
Think of your domain name as your home address and your hosting as the house itself.
I'll explain the options available and recommend the most suitable solution for your website.
Your domain name belongs to you.
Once your agreed project balance has been paid in full, the completed website created for you is yours, subject to the terms of any third-party platforms and services it uses.
Your own words, photographs and logos always remain yours.
I believe you should always remain in control of your online presence.
MyWebTone is a website design, build and management service rather than a traditional web-hosting company.
Your website may use third-party services such as a domain registrar, a website or cloud platform, payment providers, email, booking systems, analytics or other integrations. Each one has its own terms, availability and charges.
Those third-party costs stay separate from your website build fee unless I have clearly said they are included, and I'll always explain anything that carries an ongoing cost before we go ahead.
Wherever practical, accounts that belong to your business should be held in your own name so you stay in control.
Most clients simply carry on sending me their updates, so they never need to learn the software or the technical side. That's the normal MyWebTone experience and it's one I love.
You're not tied to me though. If your website has been paid for in full and you later decide you'd rather manage it yourself or move to another provider, an appropriate handover can be arranged.
The exact method depends on the technology and third-party services your website uses at that time. It may involve project access or files, help with your domain and DNS, or moving to infrastructure you control. Not every third-party service or account can automatically be transferred.
After a handover, your platform and hosting subscriptions, third-party services, technical management and future changes become yours to look after, unless we agree something separate. Any applicable handover costs would always be agreed with you in advance.
Most domain names need renewing every year.
I'll always recommend that you keep your contact details up to date with your domain provider so you receive renewal reminders.

If you ever decide to move your website or transfer your domain to another provider, I'll do my best to help make the process as straightforward as possible.
